Rooted in the underground and rising fast — Lu.Re blends UK garage, breaks, and vocal-led rave into a sound that's raw, emotional, and unmistakably her own. Named BBC Radio 1’s Future Star of 2025, she writes, produces, sings, and mixes every track herself — pushing boundaries and leading the next wave of UK dance music.
Joining her is DJ Optimism, returning from a 4-month trip through Europe with fresh sounds to set the tone for the night.

Milion is a rising force in Amsterdam’s underground, blending house, UK garage, and progressive sounds with his own fast-paced productions. Inspired by Rotterdam’s industrial edge, he quickly made his mark in the capital with sets at Shelter, Bret, and a debut at Awakenings. His bass-driven, 90s-inspired style has earned support from Eris Drew, Job Jobse, and Interplanetary Criminal, with forthcoming releases on Dark Side of the Sun and Diamond Days set to push him even further.

Introducing Interval Festival, a new open-air gathering of music and art. On Friday 26 September, we debut our first edition at the iconic Heide Museum of Modern Art. An all-day celebration of electronic music, creativity and connection set amongst lush greenery, sculpture gardens and open skies. With a carefully curated lineup of local and international DJs, art installations, and two immersive stages, this festival is built for the curious, the dancers, and the daydreamers.

Since stepping into the dance music scene in 2021, DJ and producer Oots has been making waves on a global scale. His genre-spanning sound and infectious energy have caught the attention of industry heavyweights like Mall Grab, VTSS, Skin On Skin, and many more.
With a fresh EP on Fragrance Recordings and a run of shows alongside friends and collaborators, Oots continues to evolve his sound and presence. He’s all about pushing limits and encouraging connection through rhythm. From standout appearances at Let Them Eat Cake to a debut at Beyond the Valley — and most recently, supporting Mall Grab on his 2025 tour — his momentum is undeniable.

Willo is one of Australia’s most exciting rising exports. From touring with Dom Dolla and Flume to selling out headline shows, she’s also gained support from salute, Sammy Virji and DJ Seinfeld. Her productions - blending heartfelt nostalgia with fresh club energy, have even landed on the FIFA FC24 and FC25 soundtracks.
DJ Loner built their reputation on queer and underground party circuits across Australia and the UK. Spinning at iconic events like Confide, Joyride, Junk, and Club 77, as well as Melbourne’s hotspots such as Revolver, Music Room, and XE45.
Interval - Claire O'Brien + JOVE
Claire O’Brien is an Australian-born Indonesian DJ and the mind behind Ode Label, known for her expansive sonic palette and genre-defying sets. With a deep love for sound systems and dance floors, Claire blends dub rhythms, trance textures, wobbly bass and experimental percussion - all with a touch of sensuality and a hard-hitting edge. She’s graced stages at Boiler Room, Pitch, Dark Mofo, More NRG and more.
Joining her is JOVE known for razor-sharp mixing and 90s-drenched house. With viral hits like “News Flash” and “Discotopia” rinsed by the likes of DJ Boring and Young Marco, JOVE’s driving grooves and hard house sensibilities always land with impact.
Interval - Charlie Shell b2b Scrappa
Rising star and hailing from Eora / Sydney, Charlie Shell is no stranger to the booth. Governed by groovy basslines and crowd euphoria, his track “Hitz 4 the Hood” reached number 1 on Beatport’s UKG charts. His irresistible musical flair has become a crowd favourite, earning spins from top artists like Jackie Hollander and ESC at massive stages. Joining him is another up-and-comer who has been making moves in the underground scene.
Scrappa’s records have hit mainlines, garnering support from Interplanetary Criminal and features on “In The House Records”, ran by Osmosis Jones. His musical prowess highlights the undergound scene he hails from, grungy UKG beats with gnarly basslines that keep the crowd pumping, a true selector.
1 Year of Interval - dameeeela + TRUSTEE
One of the most versatile and respected selectors, Dameeeela steps into the booth this Friday. A Yuggera woman and Meanjin-based DJ/producer with a resume that spans Tyler, The Creator to Theo Parrish, her sets jump from jungle to DnB, all delivered with fierce energy and deep-rooted respect for dance music’s origins.
She’s joined by Naarm-based artist Trustee, whose bass-heavy blends are pushing boundaries across the local scene. Drawing from UK and Latin influences, his sound has earned support from names like Ben UFO, TSVI and Dr Dubplate and for good reason.
Interval - Pappa Smurf + VANNA
Step up for one of the most entertaining DJs in the country. A local legend with roots deep in the early 2000s trance scene, Papa Smurf re-emerged at Pitch 2020 with a euphoric, old-school set that sparked a cult following among a whole new generation. Since then, he’s sold out four headline shows and proven that his energy behind the decks is truly timeless.
Joining him is rising talent VANNA, whose blend of high-energy techno, house and electronica laced with her own unreleased productions, has seen her land on festival stages like Strawberry Fields, Beyond The Valley and more.
Expect a night of pure energy across generations.
Interval - Auramatic [UK] + Friend of a Friend
Auramatic is one of the fastest rising stars in the Speed Garage & Hard House scene, with a sound that blends euphoria, bounce, and underground energy that is bound to have you moving and grooving. Auramatic is a staple of the UK club scene, playing support for the biggest names in the scene. His sound has earned him releases on records such as Locked On, EC2A, Hardline and ATW, and heavy support from the likes of Interplanetary Criminal and Sammy Virji.
Supporting him we have Friend of a Friend who has been turning heads with a high-energy blend of trance, house, and RnB — and a USB full of unreleased IDs to match. With support from the likes of Skin On Skin, DJ Heartstring, and Sim0ne, plus recent sets alongside Moktar and SWIM, FOAF is steadily making his mark beyond the west coast. He’s also behind the scenes at @6katci6 a label championing POC artists in his hometown.
Interval - James Pepper + Séarlait b2b Roka
Blending house, techno, and progressive sounds, James Pepper has spent the better part of a decade lighting up festivals like Lost Paradise and Days Like This, playing alongside Peggy Gou, Denis Sulta, Shanti Celeste, and more. His infectious sets and standout releases including the Three Drops and For All My Wrongs EPs, have earned him international attention, with support from Black Loops, HAAi, Gerd Janson, and Job Jobse.
Supporting him we have a special b2b from incredible locals Séarlait and Roka.
Interval - Mabel + DJ Luv You b2b Activator
Mabel is known for her signature blend of femme-charged psychedelia, weaving between prog house, psytrance, and minimal techno. A standout figure in Naarm’s scene and beyond, her high-energy sets and boundary-pushing productions continue to turn heads globally.
DJ Luv You brings infectious energy and a joyful, high-NRG sound rooted in ’90s house, rave, and progressive. As the force behind LUNA Blessings, their sets radiate community, playfulness, and pure dancefloor magic which has seen them land sets at festivals such as Horst and Field Maneuvers. They will be playing a special b2b with Naarm duo Activator known for their vibrant, driving take on late ‘90s and early 2000s progressive. With deep roots in the local queer scene and a packed gig history, their sets are high-energy, euphoric, and never to be missed.
Interval x Chameleon - Steve Ward [LIVE]
Since the early 2000s, Steve Ward has been one of Australia’s most boundary-pushing techno artists — with legendary collaborations alongside Carl Cox, Nile Rodgers and DJ Pierre, and a lasting influence through his label Chameleon Recordings
After years out of the spotlight, we’re proud to bring him out of retirement for a rare LIVE set — diving into techno, house, trance, UKG and beyond.
Joining him on the night are Chameleon artists Caleb Jay, Sam Omen, Lenny Lens, plus a hand-picked lineup of label friends curated by Steve himself.
Interval - DJ Planet Express [CA] + Nai
Emerging from the lo-fi house scene in 2018, DJ Planet Express [CA] has spent years developing a high-energy, genre-blurring sound — drawing from jungle, house, footwork, juke, ambient, techno, drum & bass and beyond. With a stacked catalogue of albums, EPs and singles, and millions of streams worldwide, he continues to carve a unique path through the underground.
Joining him is local favourite Nai, returning for his second sub-headline after a standout set before 1tbsp in December. If you like it euphoric, fast-paced and groove-driven, this one’s for you.
Interval - MADVILLA [UK] + Entasia
London-based MADVILLA [UK] grew up immersed in a diverse range of music. Fusing those roots with a passion for technology, he crafts a distinct house sound that has earned him a global following and support from some of the scene’s most respected figures.
Channeling the spirit of ‘90s dance music through a fresh, modern lens, Entasia has earned the attention of tastemakers like KI/KI, Marlon Hoffstadt and Malugi. This Friday marks his final set in Melbourne before a stacked run through Europe.
Interval - IsGwan + DJ Optimism
IsGwan delivers deep subs, crisp percussion, and high-energy rhythms. Drawing influence from jungle, garage, breakbeat, and footwork, his sound moves between dark breaks, speed garage, and rolling tech house.
Known for his high-octane 4x4 and 2-step rhythms, DJ Optimism is a rising presence in the scene. For his final show before a 4.5-month trip to Europe, he’ll be sharing his usual genre-spanning selections, shaped by a deep connection to the UK underground.

From underground roots to commanding festival main stages, Laura has crafted more than just a sound — she’s built a movement. Known widely for her high-voltage energy and hypnotic rhythms, she’s become one of the most iconic forces in our electronic music scene.

Our friends at Weaver take over the Main Room on May 16, bringing a lineup of fierce selectors. Featuring a 3-hour b2b from Hannah D and Suki, plus sets from Lex and Miki, expect a night of tasty dance floor recipes courtesy of the Naarm-based agency and crew!

Hot off a standout set at Intercell Indoor, Dutch duo NewTone return to light up the dance floor at Interval this Friday. Known for their explosive anthem “6 Million Ways To Die” - a staple in sets from top-tier DJs worldwide - they’re bringing serious heat.

This week at Interval, a very special guest steps in for an extended 3-hour set. We’re keeping it under wraps for now — but trust us, you’ll want to be inside for this one.
Interval - Cotto + WAXX OFF + Eva
Cotto (Sydney) is known for high-energy, genre-blurring sets that fuse 4x4 speed garage, broken UKG, house, and trance — his style is unpredictable and impossible to box into any one genre.
Waxx Off (Adelaide) is driving the rise of rave and garage-infused dance music in Australia, with an explosive sound that's earned support from the likes of Marlon Hoffstadt, Interplanetary Criminal, and Girls Don’t Sync.
Closing out the night is local selector Eva, fresh off an impressive Dance Dome set at the recent Beyond The Valley — Expect bass-heavy, percussion-driven grooves.
